How can people overcome the addiction of video games?

This is all types of video games. I used to be addicted to gaming, and whenever I come back to play (When it’s one of those days where you can’t go anywhere) a game, I get really addicted again. Can anyone find a solution that doesn’t require stopping to play these games completely?

just have to find other things going on to keep you busy. If you have a mmorpg addiction, its probably a bit harder to overcome. Only way i did it was by selling my account on ebay

-Find some gaming wesites on the internet.
-Find another hobby
-Say to yourself that if you don’t play videogames for a said amount of time, you get a reward

Go cold turkey. Get rid of the game if it’s a disc or maybe block the site that it is on or play a sport and do something else.
