Like in video games like Soul Calibur, all of the female characters are always wearing some tight and revealing clothing and always have big breast and/or butts. I am a 15 year-old straight male but I am getting sick and tired of women always being dressed sexually in video games and other media, why can’t they just make a game where th women are strong and dressed decently?
Also, how come everytime they make a strong and powerful female hero, they always have to make her sexy and strong? Why does everything have to be sexy?
Because most of these games are Japanese games. In Japan you will usually find at least one woman with scantily clad clothes and/or big boobs in anime and manga and it is the same with video games. They also have the ecchi and harem genre which generally are filled with tons of fanservice. However not all characters are like that. Some exaples are Princess Peach, Zelda and Samus, while in the anime side you have Shana from Shakugan no Shana and Saber from Fate Stay Night, which has a fighting game based off on it called Fate Unlimited Codes on the psp in the US.

Because most people don’t agree with you. They specifically want the women in video games to be scantily clad. The people making the game (or TV show, etc) knows that it sells better, so it’s common to see it.

It does get kind of ridiculous-how all these characters look like super models or whatever, I would still play video games regardless of what the character looks like. I dont necesairly care about the apperance of the character I care about the graphics, story and gameplay.
