I’ve seen tons of rated R movies for violence and they don’t seem to care. But my mom when it comes to video games with violence she freaks out and won’t let me get video games just because of the title such as Killzone 2
Just back up your talk with good sense. Do your absolute best in school, and prove to them that Video Games aren’t controlling your life, and that it is perfectly normal for kids to play violent video games, even against the wishes of the parents. As long as you know that they’re throwing their money away IF they did something with your games and systems, they can’t touch you or your desire to play games, even if they are violent. Just get good grades, show them that you’re not doing anything to hurt yourself or your future goals, and prove to them that you can shut the game off every now and then to focus on something else. Games shouldn’t rule your life, either.

lol my parents are the same, and they still dont let me, just tell her that tons of ur friends have such games, and u can be trusted with games like those

You can’t, trust me, I have boys that are 25 and 20 and still hate when they rent or buy violent video games. You’ll be able to play them soon enough.

Ok, I’m 14 and I played a game god of war which is a game with violence and pornografic content my parents didn’t care. And I WAS NOT emotionally scarred for life. The rating thing should stop conserning u after u r a teenager. But if u r below like 10 u might get nightmares, but for a 15 year old it’s ok. Show this 2 your mom

say that the rating are wrong. Say that the game is atually rated T.

You probably can’t. Some parents just take those ratings more seriously than others. You can try explaining that you know it’s just a game and that it won’t affect your behavior in real life.
