Prayer is always worth training, here is why:
Prayer Level 25 - Protect Item (Pking)
Prayer Level 34 - Ultimate Strength and Incredible Reflexes ( Pking)
Prayer Level 43 - Protect from Magic, Range, Melee (Useful Everywhere)
Prayer Level 52 - Smite (Pking or Rev Hunting)
Prayer Level 60 - Chivalry (Pking/ Training)
Prayer Level 70 - Piety (Pking/ Training)

I recently got 99 prayer.
Found altars on rs forums and used them to 99.
Brought a tortoise full of bones each trip. I used home teleports for yanille, and used someone’s kharyll teleport or glory to bank.
I was too lazy to buy an altar and also light it all the time. Some forum altar are full of lighters so you might get lucky and find a good house.
