What would lower my latency on online games?

Hey. I need some advice on lowering my latency in online games. In general, my latency varies from 70-150+ in CS, when it should be in the 20s. What can I do to lower it? I was thinking about buying a new videocard, would this lower it at all? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Latency has to do with Internet speed, buying a new video card will just waste time and money, unless you really want one.

Id contact your Internet service provider and ask about upgrades packages, etc.

I have Insight 20.0, if that means anything to you, and it works brilliantly. Lighting speed when surfing the web and when playing online games, or both at the same time.

- Thanks for the question, that’s a good one to ask.

i think latency has to do with internet connection.
if you can run cs without any problems in whatever settings, it wont affect anything.
