I’ve always enjoyed crossword and other word puzzles. I’ve filled some of my free time with Y/A and not spent as much time on puzzles or reading fiction lately. I don’t buy puzzle books anymore unless I’m traveling.
I go to Big Fish Games and download word games for about an hour and play those until time runs out. My favorite after crossword puzzles is Bookworm Deluxe. I was playing one day and found a word with 12 letters and when I put it into the game space and hit enter it gave me 50,000 points. In one hour I got 113,800 points. I thought that was pretty good. When time is up I just delete the game from the system. I also go to Game House and Arcade Town and do the same thing. But my favorite games as of today are the Hidden Object games. And I still read quite a bit too.

Crossword puzzles, logic problems, cryptograms, all kinds of word games.

I just love word games - crossword puzzles, word searches, cryptograms. You name it. Not only does it pass time, but you also learn something while you’re doing the puzzles.
When I was going through my divorce, I got into Suduko. I have several of them, as I would do one or two every night while I was waiting for Mr. Sandman. I named one of the Suduko books "Summer of Insomnia," if that tells you how well I slept that summer. Since the divorce was finalized, I haven’t had the insomnia as bad, so I haven’t had to buy but maybe one more Sukuko book.

I do the crossword puzzles in the newspaper every day. I can finish the daily ones, but have never completely succeeded with the Sunday Puzzle.

I’m not that great at crossword puzzles, but I love word search. Big Fish has a game I really like where you have to make words from scrambled letters. I really like Scrabble. I stinkat number games like Soboku (I don’t know how to spell it).
I know how YA can steal your time. My husband calls the people on here my "other family". LOL
