Word games! What is the longest alphabetic sequence of letters that is used in an English word?

By alphabetic sequence, I mean 'abc', 'bcd', cdef', etc. At least three letters. Examples of words that contains an alphabetic sequence are 'first', which contains the three-letter sequence 'rst', and 'define', which contains the sequence 'def'.

Anybody know of a long one, five letters or more?

Please, don't make up any nonsense.

Any puzzles or games involveing such sequences?

OVERSTUFF (RSTU)
GYMNOPLAST (MNOP)

I don't think there's any with five consecutive letters.

Actually "RSTU" appears in 10 different forms (3 different root words):

    overstuff, overstuffed, overstuffing, overstuffs
    superstud, superstuds
    understudied, understudies, understudy, understudying
